This notice explains how Artificial Apps, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our services ("Services"), which are:
If you do not agree with this notice, please do not use our Services. Questions are welcome at admin@artificialapps.co.
Shim stores the following on your device, and we do not receive it:
If you share a shim, you decide who receives it. An exported shim does not include your API key or the values you entered in its settings.
Shim does not require an account. If we add sign-ups, we will update this notice before we begin collecting account information.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we do not collect information about you from third parties.
Like any browser, Shim connects to other services in order to work. These services receive your information directly, and their own privacy policies apply. We do not control them and do not receive this information from them.
We use the information we collect to respond to you, to provide and secure our Services, to troubleshoot problems, and to comply with the law. If you are in Canada, we rely on your consent, which may be express or implied, or on another basis permitted by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
We share personal information only in these situations:
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on our websites. Our websites load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address, and parts of Shim's interface may do the same. Our hosting providers may use technical measures to keep our websites secure.
Most browsers offer a Do-Not-Track setting. There is no uniform standard for these signals, so we do not respond to them. We do not track you across other websites.
We keep the messages you send us for as long as we need them to help you and to meet our legal obligations. Server logs are kept for the periods set by our hosting providers. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.
Information stored on your device stays there until you delete it. You can clear it in Shim, or delete it from your device after uninstalling.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no transmission over the internet or storage technology is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never access it.
Our Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe we have information from someone under 18, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To make a request, email admin@artificialapps.co. We may need to verify your identity first, and we can only act on information we hold. You may use an authorized agent if you provide proof that they are authorized to act for you.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing us. We will respond in writing and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may complain to your state attorney general.
We currently collect these categories of personal information:

| Internet or network activity | Server logs of website visits, downloads, and update checks. This does not include your browsing in Shim. | Yes |

We collect this information from you and your device, and use and share it as described in sections 4 and 5. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
We will update this notice as our Services change or the law requires, and revise the date at the top when we do. If we make material changes, we may post a prominent notice or notify you directly.
If you have questions about this notice, or want to review, update, or delete your information, email us at admin@artificialapps.co.
